The Sudarsana Chakra in the University Emblem is a symbol of light destroying darkness and pride. The Nandi and Ratha are from the seal of the greate Vijayanagar Empire, the Golden age of Sri Krishnadevaraya. They symbolize fullness of life and endless pursuit of perfection which are the objectives of this University. The Motto of the University is from the Isa Upanishad and conveys the message that one attains immortal wisdom through knowledge.
